SUSAN TULLY

Susan Tully became prominent for her iconic television acting roles, such as the single mother Michelle Fowler in the soap opera EastEnders of BBC network, as well as the rebellious teenager Suzanne Ross in Grange Hill. At age 9, she had hosted the live children’s television program Our Show. She then worked on The Saturday Banana with Bill Oddie. Tully’s career in directing in television came in the late 1990s.

Among the television shows that she has directed include episodes of EastEnders, The Story of Tracy Beaker, London’s Burning, The Bill, Funland, and many others. Clearly preferring to be behind the camera, Tully went on to direct Kay Mellor’s The Chase, Silent Witness, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Stella, Tin Star, and The A Word. In 2019, she directed the final two episodes of the fifth series of Line of Duty. Tully has achieved a great degree of success in the entertainment industry.
